The new HealthEx PowerPlug syncs EHRs and lab results directly alongside continuous biometric data to prepare users for doctor visits
Smart ring challenger Ultrahuman has launched the HealthEx PowerPlug, a new update within its companion app that integrates a user's full electronic medical records directly alongside continuous biometric tracking from devices like the Ultrahuman Ring Pro.
Developed in partnership with health data platform HealthEx, the PowerPlug pulls together medical histories across clinics, hospitals, and labs nationwide.
Ultrahuman says it can map over 500 conditions, medications, and medical procedures onto the same timeline as resting heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, and sleep metrics recorded by the ring.
The software also automatically identifies lapsed follow-up intervals, overdue lab tests, or unrepeated anomalous results, converting them into actionable questions for a user's next medical appointment, as well as generating a 'Visit Pack' summary designed to help users navigate brief consultations with a unified view of their clinical history and continuous wearable trends.
Now rolling out in the United States, the HealthEx PowerPlug costs $4.99 per month or $45.99 annually via the Ultrahuman PowerPlugs tab. While core tracking remains free, the release highlights the brand's expanding paid marketplace for specialized health capabilities.
Another company pushes into clinical health
This move closely mirrors a broader trend across the health-tracking sector. Rival platform Whoop announced its own partnership with HealthEx earlier this year to sync Electronic Health Records (EHRs) alongside continuous recovery scores.
Whoop is pairing this clinical context with live, on-demand video consultations with licensed doctors in its app, along with updates to Whoop Coach, including My Memory context logging, Proactive Check-Ins, and voice-activated journaling.
For Ultrahuman, the software update follows the global launch of the Ring Pro, the brand's flagship—a device that features a unique unibody titanium shell redesigned to address US patent disputes and extend battery life.
Combined with the recently overhauled Emerald operating system, UltraSphere daily guidance, and Jade AI assistant, Ultrahuman is positioning its ring ecosystem as a formal bridge between daily tracking and traditional clinical care. Watch this space.
