She earned her bachelor's degree in History from Vilnius University, where she gained experience in academic writing and research. After her studies, she worked as a health journalist at the newspaper Health of Lithuania. Her job involved writing about the latest discoveries in the health and wellness sector, health politics, and other related topics.

This role enabled Emilija to expand her expertise in human health and medical science. Driven by a desire for adventure, she eventually chose to move to Australia to pursue studies in Marketing and Communications, an experience that significantly expanded her knowledge. After completing her studies, she decided to return and pursue her career as a journalist again.
