Asus ZenWatch 3 owners, we know. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster, but it's finally here. You can now start downloading the Android Wear 2.0 to Asus' third generation smartwatch.

After we had been told by our source at Asus that the ZenWatch 3 update would land on the July 11 and then the 12, it's actually ended up being the 18 July.

Once you've got it up and running (which took a few hours), you will of course now be able to access the Google Play Store straight from the watch, use Google Assistant, play around with personalised watch faces, enjoy the improved messaging options and there's now support for instant Google Translate. That one should come in handy for your summer hols.

Asus is also bringing changes to its own ZenFit fitness app, which now offers gym lovers rep counting for gym exercise equipment including shoulder presses, chest presses and lateral pull-down machines. Previously, the ZenWatch 3 only offered this feature for push-ups and sit-ups.

The Wear 2.0 rollout it's fair to say has not been a smooth one. After launching on the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style earlier this year, the major OS update has been trickling out to other Wear watches from the likes of Polar, Casio and Huawei. Spare a thought for Moto 360 Sport owners though. They are still waiting for some Wear 2.0 love, and there's still no official line from Moto when it's dropping.

We've booted up our ZenWatch 3 again and as you can see from the pics above. Wear 2.0 is live. Finally.
