After initially releasing its Oreo update for Android Wear smartwatches back in December last year, Google has announced that seven more watches will be receiving the latest software.

The new software was first available to the likes of the LG Watch Sport and Michael Kors Access Sofie, and now an updated list shows that seven new devices will also get some update love: the Casio Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20 and its WSD-F10 predecessor, Ticwatch S and Ticwatch E, the Huawei Watch 2, Polar M600 and ZTE Quartz.

There's no timeline defined in the list, but the fact this has been confirmed suggests that owners should be receiving a rollout of the software over the coming days. But if you're a Huawei Watch 2 owner eager to get in on the action, you may want to hold fire, with users on Reddit suggesting that devices outside of the UK and US are seeing Android Pay disabled after the update.

Instead of the overhaul we saw through Android Wear 2.0, the Oreo update represents a more incremental step. Things like adjusting the vibration strength of notifications, a new touch lock feature and support for different languages and regions are now on board, for example.

The rollout means that Wear now runs over Oreo, instead of Google's Nougat platform, with the company routinely updating the list of watches that can upgrade.

As well as the seven new watches mentioned above, here's the rest of the list that can now update to Oreo:

- Fossil Q Venture
- LG Watch Sport
- Louis Vuitton Tambour
- Michael Kors Sofie
- Montblanc Summit
- Hugo BOSS BOSS Touch
- Movado Connect
- Tommy Hilfiger 24/7 You
- Guess Connect
- Gc Connect
- Fossil Q Founder 2.0
- Fossil Q Marshal
- Fossil Q Wander
- Michael Kors Access Bradshaw
- Michael Kors Access Dylan
- Tag Heuer Tag Connected Modular 45
- Diesel Full Guard
- Emporio Armani Connected
- Fossil Q Explorist
- Michael Kors Access Grayson
- Fossil Q Control
- LG Watch Style
- Misfit Vapor
- Nixon Mission

Is your Wear watch not on the list? Well, we hate to break it to you, but it could be part of the few Wear watches not making the jump to Oreo.

Seeing support halted is the Asus ZenWatch 2 and ZenWatch 3, the Fossil Q Founder, the original Huawei Watch, LG Watch G Watch/Urbane, and the Moto 360 and 360 Sport. That doesn't mean they're completely left swirling in the wind — users will still be able to download Wear updates through the Play Store — but it does mean the underlying software will remain as Nougat.
