Wareable is a leading technology website that covers the latest developments in wearable tech, smart home devices, and health tech.
Founded in 2014, Wareable has quickly become one of the most respected and influential sources of information and reviews on wearable technology. It was founded by tech journalists Paul Lamkin and James Stables, who decided that a major emerging genre wasn't being given the coverage that it deserved.
The site's team of experienced journalists and editors have established themselves as experts in their field, offering insightful analysis and in-depth reviews of the latest wearable devices.
From fitness trackers to smartwatches, running watches, AR and VR glasses, Wareable covers all aspects of wearable technology.
In addition to its editorial content, Wareable also provides comprehensive buying guides for wearable devices, allowing users to compare features and prices and make informed purchasing decisions.
Wareable's commitment to quality journalism has earned it a loyal following among both industry professionals and consumers. The site has won numerous awards, including the 2019 and 2020 Best Specialist Website award at the British Media Awards.
Whether you're a tech enthusiast or just interested in the latest wearable devices, Wareable is the go-to source for news, reviews, and expert analysis.
Wearable tech experts
Speaking to Response Source just before launch, Lamkin explained: "I was approached with an idea for a wearable tech site. Straight away I knew I wanted in. It’s a massively growing area, probably the biggest buzz category in tech right now.
"At the moment nobody is digging beneath the traditional tech reviews. We will be getting really in-depth, looking at the companies, the people and the trends, and all the exciting stuff that’s happening in the world of wearable technology because it’s our niche subject; it’s what we’re passionate about."
Since our launch in back in 2014, our group of editors have appeared as wearable tech experts on BBC Breakfast, BBC World, Radio 4 and Radio 5Live as well as writing regular contributions for Forbes, the Metro, the Daily Star, the Times and Women's Health.
We have also provided guest articles and comment on wearable tech and the connected self for BBC Online, the Telegraph, the Evening Standard, the Guardian, the Huffington Post, the Sun, Shortlist, BBC Focus, Grazia, MailOnline, the Mail on Sunday, Press Association, the Mirror, Yahoo, Red, Good Housekeeping, Woman and Home and International Business Times.
The Wareable Tech Awards
In 2016 we launched the inaugural Wareable Tech Awards, which have subsequently become a hugely authoritative industry event, with over 200 attendees from the biggest global brands and lifestyle media.
The Wareable Media Group has expanded to three publications now, with The Ambient - a smart home focused website - launching in January 2018, and the latest site, Get Sweat Go, going live in mid-2019.
The Ambient was shortlisted at the AOP Digital Publishing Awards 2018 as the 'Best Digital Launch of the Year' and the Wareable Media Group was also nominated as a 'Publisher of the Year' as well.
