If you thought the Fitbit Versa dropping down to $149 for Black Friday and then in Amazon's 12 Days of Deals was a good deal, Amazon has now cut the price of Fitbit's second smartwatch even further, letting you grab it for $125.

You can currently stick the Versa (which includes small and large bands) in your basket on Amazon for $124.98. When you consider it usually costs $199, that's over a saving of $75 from the usual asking price. It had for a brief time dropped to $90 on Amazon and Macy's, but your chances of picking up the Versa at that price look to have now gone. But this is still the cheapest the Versa has been all year.

If you were hoping to bag it for yourself or someone else for Christmas though, it's going to arrive after that period. If you're willing to wait, you can expect to pick up a smartwatch that narrowly missed out to the Apple Watch Series 4 to be named Smartwatch of the Year and Wearable of the Year at this year's Wareable Tech Awards.

Essential reading: Which Fitbit should I buy?

It’s no secret that we’re big fans of the Fitbit Versa. It impressed us so much that we gave it 4 out of 5 in our definitive Fitbit Versa review, and analysts have attributed much of Fitbit’s financial success in 2018 to the Versa – and the company’s wider move to smartwatches.

If you need any reminding, the Versa is Fitbit's second smartwatch, offering all the usual fitness tracking features in a smaller, slimmer design than Fitbit's debut smartwatch. If you're worried about not fancying the strap it comes with, there's a whole bunch of official and third-party Fitbit Versa bands available, too. Built-in GPS is the only notable feature missing, but elsewhere it's does everything the Ionic can do and this is a great deal for a top smartwatch.
