Ultrahuman has announced the launch of a new Cycle & Ovulation PowerPlug that enables women to track their menstrual cycle for free using advanced biometrics.
Ultrahuman is making waves with its Ring Air smart ring — and has launched a huge new women’s health tracking feature amid expanding market share.
The company has announced the launch of a new Cycle & Ovulation PowerPlug. PowerPlugs are its name for apps and services that live within the Ultrahuman ecosystem.
It comes on the heels of its new Afib PowerPlug, which made the Ultrahuman Ring Air the first smart ring to track heart rate rhythm and detect atrial fibrillation.

The Cycle & Ovulation PowerPlug is available for free to all Ultrahuman Ring Air users.
Ultrahuman’s algorithms use skin temperature, resting heart rate (RHR), and heart rate variability (HRV) to learn and assess the cycle — and predict when there might be a high or low chance of getting pregnant.
Ultrahuman says because the PowerPlug uses multiple physiological biomarkers, such as skin temperature, heart rate variability, and resting heart rate, reduces drift and boosts accuracy. The company studied 41,475 anonymized cycles to learn to account for variability among regular cycle patterns.
“This has been fundamental to advanced clinical biomarker testing and has inspired us to integrate a similar multi-marker system into our wearable technology. By capturing a range of fertility signals, we provide a far more accurate and comprehensive picture than methods relying on just one factor,” said Aditi Bhattacharya, Scientific Director at Ultrahuman.
The development comes as Ultrahuman announced that it’s reached 30% market share of the smart ring market, up from 10% earlier this year.
The company’s popularity has been boosted by wider global availability, advanced features and a subscription-free model.
