Android Wear 2.0 rolling out for Asus ZenWatch 3...

...apparently - but still no word on the ZenWatch 2
Android Wear 2.0 landing on ZenWatch 3

In a week where it was revealed that Asus might be killing the ZenWatch range, there is finally some good news for wearers of the Taiwanese company's Android Wear smartwatches.

According to the official UK Asus Twitter account, the ZenWatch 3 Android Wear 2.0 update has begun rolling out.

We've yet to see the upgrade land on our Asus ZenWatch 3, however, and there's no proof on social media or forums as of yet either. And, bad news for ZenWatch 2 owners, the Twitter account is still referring to that Wear 2.0 bug with regards to that particular update...

Android Wear 2.0 went live with the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style but plenty more smartwatches have now joined the party, thanks to the Wear 2.0 update.

Earlier this year Asus recently rolled out a fairly significant non 2.0 update for the ZenWatch 3, focusing on performance stability, Eco mode and various other fresh features. The ZenWatch 2, meanwhile, was only treated to security fixes.

When users are eventually able to access the fresh Google OS, they'll be able to enjoy standalone apps, Google Assistant support and smoother messaging.

Keep an eye on this story as we'll keep it up-to-date with the latest Android Wear 2.0 update information for ZenWatch users.

With my Huawei watch getting Android Wear 2.0 update, was wondering about Asus Zenwatch2 and 3 getting updated. I wish Android gets updated in a timely manner.

Great, so they could focus on other tech rather than a smartphone on your wrist which everyone should have a smartphone by now.
