Rokid debuts second-gen smart glasses and full-color Meta Ray-Ban rival

The upgraded frames lineup and a gesture-controlled smart ring are slated for an international launch at CES 2027

Rokid has unveiled its next-generation smart glasses, introducing the monochrome Rokid Glasses 2, the all-new full-color Rokid Color, and a companion gesture-control smart ring.

The dual-product launch signals a major push by the Chinese smart-specs brand to reach a broad spectrum of smart-glasses users.

Adding to its existing display glasses, the Glasses 2 and Color serve both everyday AI users and those seeking fully featured glasses with rich multimedia capabilities.

While both models launch initially in its home territory, Rokid confirmed that global versions of the Rokid Glasses 2 and Rokid Color will debut internationally at CES 2027.

Rokid Glasses 2 brings performance boosts and Dolby Audio

The Glasses 2 builds on its predecessor with a redesigned squircle frame, flexible temples that open 22% wider, and skin-friendly nose pads designed to avoid leaving marks.

It retains an IPX4 water-resistance rating and supports magnetic clip-on prescription lenses over its single-green MicroLED waveguide display (480 × 380 resolution, 1,500 nits brightness).

Under the hood, the device upgrades to a dual-processor architecture, pairing a BES2800BP co-processor with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1+ chip, plus 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

On the multimedia front, the glasses pack a 12MP camera that records 4K video at 30fps and feature a new 'super night video' algorithm. Audio gets a notable upgrade via Dolby Audio support, four omnidirectional microphones, and a bone-conduction microphone for wind-resistant voice pickup.

Powered by a larger 263mAh battery (up from 210mAh) and running software that supports live translation, meeting transcription, and desktop AI agents, the Rokid Glasses 2 is priced in China from CNY 3,699 (converting to around $550) in Black and CNY 3,849 (~$575) in Tortoiseshell, with Chinese shipments starting November 11.

Rokid Color and Rokid Ring target full-color competition

Positioned directly against full-color competitors like Meta's display glasses, the new Rokid Color drops the monochrome limitation in favor of a custom 0.16cc MicroLED full-color display boasting 100 percent sRGB color coverage. Despite adding full-color capability, the Rokid Color weighs just 55g.

With touch, voice, and eye-tracking inputs, the glasses can also be operated with the newly announced Rokid Ring—a CNY 1,699 (~$250) wearable that supports touch surfaces and finger-snap gestures to navigate photos, videos, and mini-games. Like Even Realities' R1 smart ring, it also doubles as an all-day health tracker, monitoring heart rate, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep, and calories.

The Rokid Color will be available in Black and Tortoiseshell in two memory tiers: 2GB RAM + 64GB storage for CNY 4,999 (~$750) and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage for CNY 5,499 (~$825).

We'll be on the ground in Las Vegas in early January for CES 2027, so stay tuned for our full hands-on impressions.
