Zwift Plus premium tier arrives with adaptive coaching and real-world video routes

The tier introduces a smarter coaching engine and 21 real-world video routes to the platform

Zwift has unveiled Zwift Plus, a new premium subscription tier that introduces adaptive coaching and high-definition video routes to the indoor cycling platform.

Priced at $29.99 / £26.99 per month (or $299.99 / £269.99), the upgraded membership sits above the standard Zwift tier ($19.99/£17.99 monthly), targeting indoor cyclists seeking more tailored training structure and visual variety.

The launch marks one of the platform’s biggest structural additions in recent years, combining real-world video simulation—a feature popularized by competitors like Rouvy—with an adaptive training framework designed to prevent workout burnout and missed-session fatigue.

Zwift Coach adapts workouts when life gets in the way

At the core of the new tier is Zwift Coach, a personalized training engine that builds adaptive plans around a user's specific goals, available time, and recent fitness.

Grounded in peer-reviewed sports science and anonymized performance data from millions of Zwift rides, the system replaces rigid workout calendars with a flexible progression model.

Rather than relying solely on ERG-mode indoor workouts, Zwift Coach draws on the platform's broader content library. Plans draw from thousands of structured workouts, free-ride routes, RoboPacers, and group events, reflecting Zwift's internal data showing that 63% of members prefer a variety of riding styles over exclusively structured sessions.

Crucially, the coach automatically recalibrates if a rider misses a session, overexerts during a weekend outdoor group ride, or shifts their schedule, prompting plan adjustments via the Zwift Companion app and in-game interface. Post-ride metrics are served up instantly via a new 'Coach Analysis' tab.

Real-world video routes bring iconic climbs

The second major pillar of Zwift Plus is Zwift Video, which launches with 21 lappable routes totaling 385 kilometers across six countries.

Destinations include famous Alpine climbs like the Col du Galibier, Mallorca’s Sa Calobra, the Teide Plateau in Tenerife, and coastal routes across Norway’s Lofoten Islands and South Africa’s Western Cape.

Despite the shift to high-definition filmed scenery, Zwift Video retains the standard game HUD elements and physics, including drafting dynamics, segment leaderboards, HoloReplays, PowerUps, and Drops.

To mark the launch, Zwift is also rolling out the Globetrotter Challenge, rewarding riders who complete 10 video routes by February 1 with bonus XP and exclusive in-game kit unlocks.

Additional video routes and destinations are scheduled to drop regularly starting in early 2027.
