Our best look yet suggests Samsung is playing it safe on the upcoming fitness tracker’s design
It looks like Samsung is getting ready to update its affordable fitness tracker range, with leaks providing a clear look at a potential Galaxy Fit 4.
The budget band would follow the Galaxy Fit 3, launched in 2024, though new video footage obtained by Android Authority suggests little will change in the design.
It reveals the Galaxy Fit 4 from multiple angles, with the tracker appearing in black, white, and light blue.
The clips show the display, frame, strap, and rear sensor, and the design looks almost the same as the last model.
That might not be a bad thing. Samsung’s budget fitness bands have always focused on simple, lightweight designs rather than major changes, and the Galaxy Fit 4 seems to follow that approach.
The main question now is whether Samsung will debut changes to the sensors, software, or price.
What does the leak tell us so far?
The Galaxy Fit 4 appears to keep the same long rectangular display with rounded corners, curved case, and a physical button on the right. The silicone strap also seems to stick with a simple buckle-and-hole design.
On the back, the sensor layout matches what you’d expect from a fitness band, with no obvious changes from the Galaxy Fit 3.
This matches Android Authority’s earlier report from August, which linked model number SM-R391 to a Samsung device called FIT4, along with a rear image that looked almost the same as the current model.
That report also mentioned Bluetooth Low Energy support and suggested the wearable likely uses a Goodix GH3036 optical sensor module, but Samsung hasn’t confirmed any details yet.
Right now, the main story might be the timing. The Galaxy Fit 4 is launching as budget fitness trackers are getting more attention again.
If Samsung keeps the price close to the Fit 3’s $60/£59 launch price, it will still be much cheaper than newer competitors like the $99/£85 Fitbit Air. It will also be closer in price to budget options like Xiaomi’s Smart Band 11, which starts at about $43/£33 in China before its wider release.
For now, everything is still unofficial, even though the leak seems convincing.
So, stay tuned over the coming weeks—we’ll monitor whether Samsung officially announces the Galaxy Fit 4.
