We finally have a launch date for Sony's Project Morpheus, the PlayStation 4 powered VR headset: the first half of 2016.
It's a bit vague we know, and we're obviously hoping it's January rather than June, but the good news is there's been a raft of improvements made for the latest Morpheus prototype, making Sony's next-gen VR platform all the more exciting.

Gone is the 5-inch LCD display, replaced with a 5.7-inch OLED one that Sony claims will improve motion blur and enable low persistence. The display's refresh rate has been doubled to 120hz, making 120fps gaming a possibility.
The latency issues have been addressed, with a new 18ms reading - almost half the 2014 prototype's performance - and tracking accuracy has been tweaked with a total of nine LEDs now aiding the positional awareness of the headset.
Finally, the design of the Project Morpheus headset has been modified to be more user friendly and comfortable, and it tips the scales a little less than its predecessor.
"Our goal with VR is to deliver a sense of presence, making the player feel as though they've stepped inside the world of a game," explained PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida.
"The new Project Morpheus prototype brings us closer to that goal, as it improves the visual experience and tracking accuracy, both of which are critical to achieving sense of presence."
