Facer and Citizen's 'Kick It' watch face delivers rolling updates of the tournament's games
Facer and Citizen’s Riiiver team have teamed up to deliver a new free dynamic watch face experience named Kick It, timed for the start of the World Cup.
The launch represents the first official fruit of the collaboration, first teased at CES earlier this year, and it lets users turn their Wear OS smartwatch into a live-updating wrist-worn scoreboard over the next five weeks.
The watch face essentially serves as an interactive World Cup dashboard.
Users select their favorite national team in the Facer mobile app, and the watch face automatically updates to match that country’s official team colors and flag.

Backed by data fed directly through Citizen’s Riiiver platform, the face updates in real-time to show live match statuses, ongoing scores, group standings, tournament rankings, and upcoming game headlines.
Finding the face on the app store
Users looking to get the face on their wrist should note that it might not appear immediately via standard search queries during the initial rollout.
To bypass this, consumers can navigate directly to the top of Facer’s curated World Cup watch face collection in the app, where we’re told it’s being pinned for the next few days. Or, you can find it via this direct web link to Facer—it should trigger the Facer Creator tool and push the design directly to an active watch.
The Kick It watch face is available immediately in the US, UK, Canada, and Japan for smartwatches running Google Wear OS 6. And, presumably, that support will continue as we see the expected debut of Wear OS 7 via Samsung’s next-gen hardware next month.
