Apple showed off a number of new designs for its Apple Watch line at its big September launch event. The 'budget' Apple Watch Sport now comes in gold and rose gold anodised aluminium finishes (see picture below), no doubt looking to boost appeal among women.

The new finishes are available in both 38mm and 42mm sizes and are priced the same as the current models, starting at $349.

Apple also announced that the popular stainless steel model will now be available as Space Black with matching black Sport bands, further extending the customisation options available.

The Cupertino company is launching a line of colour options for autumn/winter that will includes a selection of vibrant bands in warm hues and more muted cool hues like blues, greys and light browns. The new metal finishes and band options will be available for sale at Apple's online from today.

Apple has also collaborated again with Product Red to offer a special red Watch band with portions of sales going to the AIDS awareness foundation.

And finally, Apple is working with the French fashion house Hermès to launch three new high-fashion, hand-stitched leather bands.

The designer collection consists of a double loop band that wraps around the wrist twice, a buckle style band, and a classic leather strap - there are a number of colours on offer for each design. Hermès has also worked on custom watch faces for the collaboration.

Apple Watch Hermès starts from $1,250 and will be available from 5 October.
