There are still a good few more weeks to wait before Black Friday undoubtedly brings with it a raft of Samsung smartwatch deals. But if you're the impatient type, this rare discount should grab your attention.

Right now, you can save $100 off the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier, a price it has only been briefly at once before and a price that won't be beaten until Black Friday no doubt.

One area where Samsung's Tizen operating system has the advantage over Wear OS and watchOS is if you're a Spotify Premium user (and who isn't?). That's because Tizen supports Spotify offline playlists, so you can sync your favourite tracks straight to your watch and pair Bluetooth headphones.

That way you can ditch your smartphone when going out on a run and still have your tunes. The built-in GPS and heart rate monitor will be particularly handy for outdoor exercise. As will its water resistance, though it doesn't support swim tracking.

The Samsung Gear S3 also features a rotating bezel, Samsung's somewhat ingenious way of avoiding obscuring a small touchscreen with your fingers. The touchscreen is a 1.3-inch 360x360 AMOLED display.

There's a big battery that can get you around three days of use, which is on the higher side for most smartwatches packing the same features. We awarded the Samsung Gear S3 a 3.5/5 review when we tested it back at its $299 original asking price, so this discount immediately makes it a better value prospect.

It's highly unlikely you'll see a better price than this before Black Friday 2019, so if you're keen snap one up now. Otherwise join us around Black Friday when we'll be rounding up all of the best smartwatch deals.
