We might be looking at LG's first fitness-centric design
A recent filing with the Federal Communications Commission by LG shows yet another smartwatch from the Korean company is in the works.
This time, luxury is definitely not the main feature for an LG wearable. Instead, it appears that the company might be working on a smartwatch that is capable of withstanding some roughhousing.
It’s certainly not the LG G Watch, the G Watch R, or the Watch Urbane and we’d be surprised if it was the recently rumoured LG Nemo. This prototype, codenamed LG-VC110, appears to have a single unit, non-replaceable band made from some kind of rubberized material that looks sporty.

First discovered by GforGames, the filing includes a schematic of the rear surface of the watch, which includes a label with an indication that it will include a Micro USB port. The filing also notes that the screen measures 1.77-inches, but we don’t know the resolution yet.
The watch received BLE and WLAN testing, so we can be sure that it will support both Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and device-to-device connectivity. However, there is no other information at this time as to the rest of the device’s specs.
Slashgear has since discovered that this LG wearable won’t be an Android Wear device and will be squarely aimed at the fitness market.
It looks like being a busy IFA for LG. All eyes on Berlin.
