Samsung Galaxy Fit and Fit e incoming as Fitbit Charge 3 rivals

Everything we know about Samsung's new fitness trackers

It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Active is set to be joined by a new fitness band called the Galaxy Fit.

After the name appeared on the Bluetooth SIG website for receiving certification, it's now also made an appearance in Samsung's own Galaxy Wearable app, giving us our first look at the Gear Fit2 Pro successor.

The image suggests the new tracker will feature slimmer design with significantly less bezel around the screen. We also got confirmation that there will be a Fit e model, although there's no indication what that 'e' stands for. It could signify an e-sim option, although we're left to simply speculate at this point.

Aside from the names, there's also no indication of the big Galaxy Fit and Fit e features we can expect. Bluetooth is a given of course, but we imagine whatever it's packing, it'll be sharing some specs with Samsung's next smartwatch. Rumored features for the Galaxy Watch Active so far include GPS, a heart rate sensor and a new minimalist design.

In addition to the Fit and Fit e, the name Galaxy Buds also makes an appearance in that Samsung Galaxy Wearable app, which would complete that full rebranding from Gear to the Galaxy name.

The question now is when these new fitness trackers and smart buds are going to officially turn up. Samsung's next Unpacked event takes place on 20 February, and the timing of the tracker's appearance appears to indicate that's when we will see them.

We'll be at Unpacked if they do all rock up to get our hands on them.
