Bagging a Fitbit deal this Amazon Prime Day just got a little easier, with the company's top fitness tracker hitting the sale.

While we didn't expect to see the pair of Fitbit smartwatches receive significant savings this time around, we did anticipate some price trimming from its line of bands, and the flagship tracker, the Charge 2, is now available for just £79.99. It's also joined by the Fitbit Blaze, the company's self-described fitness watch, which is down to £99.99.

The savings to the Charge 2, though, perhaps represent the biggest opportunity for prospective buyers. The price puts it cheaper than that of the original Fitbit Alta, and just £10 more expensive than the entry-level, screen-less Flex 2. It's also more affordable than the Garmin Vivosport and Polar A370, both of which are currently available for around £150.

  • Fitbit Charge 2 (black, large): £79.99 (down from £109.99) | Amazon
  • Fitbit Charge 2 (black, small): £79.99 (down from £109.99) | Amazon
  • Fitbit Charge 2 (plum, small): £79.99 (down from £109.99) | Amazon
  • Fitbit Charge 2 (blue, large): £79.99 (down from £109.99) | Amazon
  • Fitbit Charge 2 (plum, large): £79.99 (down from £109.99) | Amazon
  • Fitbit Charge 2 (teal, small): £79.99 (down from £109.99) | Amazon
  • Fitbit Charge 2 (teal, large): £79.99 (down from £109.99) | Amazon

It all means that users taking advantage will be able to tap into the fitness tracker's continuous heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, VO2 Max data, Guided Breathing and automatic exercise detection. Since the savings also include a range of the device's sizes and colours - black, plum, blue and teal - you also won't be stuck for choice.

It's also the same story for the Fitbit Blaze. While the device is no longer sold by Fitbit itself, it's still available to pick up through Amazon, and the saving through Prime Day lets users shave off up to £50. Like the Charge 2, it's also available in a couple of variations - click below to get the latest details:

  • Fitbit Blaze (black, small): £99.99 (down from £138.99) | Amazon
  • Fitbit Blaze (plum, small): £99.99 (down from £149.99) | Amazon
  • Fitbit Blaze (plum, large): £99.99 (down from £149.99) | Amazon
  • Fitbit Blaze (black, large): £99.99 (down from £149.99) | Amazon

As we say, we never expected Fitbit's very latest wares to receive significant Prime Day treatment this early into their life, but the fact that the Charge 2 is available on the cheap is certainly one for fitness tracker fans to consider.

Just be aware that Fitbit is rumoured to be working on new Charge and Blaze lines for release - perhaps later this year - which could quickly give you wearable envy. You can keep a check on our all the latest bargains on our Fitbit Prime Day deals page.
