If the Huawei Watch 2 Sport and Watch 2 Classic doesn't quite live up to your luxurious tastes, you can always consider strapping on the Porsche Design edition of the Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch instead.
The company is resurrecting the collaboration with the industrial and product design outfit for a special version of the Watch 2 that actually doesn't look all that different. We say look, because we weren't able to actually get our hands on it as the watch was kept inside a glass display at MWC.

Unsurprisingly, it's all about looks and you'll quickly spot the Porsche Design name on the chronograph bezel. That's accompanied by a nice looking leather strap with fine red stitching.
Aside from that, this is every bit the same as the Watch 2. That means you'll get a 1.2-inch, 390 x 390, AMOLED touchscreen display, built-in GPS, NFC for Android Pay support and fitness features that include real-time coaching and VO2 max training.
It will of course run on Android Wear 2.0 when it lands in the coming months and will include a special Porsche Edition watch face that you'll be able to customise thanks to the latest changes in Google's smartwatch operating system.
If you were hoping for something that oozes style, that's not really the vibe we got seeing it up close. Yes, it looks nice and well built, but we've definitely seen more impressive designer collaborations from Apple and Samsung. Maybe we'll feel differently when we actually get our hands on it.
Huawei is not giving up details on the price of the Watch 2 Porsche Design edition, but you can bet it will be considerably more than the $350 it'll cost to buy the cheapest Watch 2.
