What makes the Venu X1 different
The Venu X1, launched last summer, marks a full-circle moment for Garmin, reviving the ultra-thin, square-case aesthetic of the original Vivoactive.
At just 7.9mm thick, it is comfortably the most wearable watch in Garmin’s current lineup, making it an ideal choice for those who find the rugged Fenix or Forerunner series too bulky for the office or for sleep tracking.
It features a brilliant 2-inch AMOLED display and a built-in LED flashlight—a luxury feature typically reserved for Garmin’s much larger "Ultra" and "Pro" models.

In our full Garmin Venu X1 review testing, we noted that it is a design triumph that finally offers Garmin users a genuine alternative to the square aesthetic of the Apple Watch.
While its two-day battery life (with the always-on display) is a departure from Garmin’s usual week-long endurance, the sheer comfort of the 40g titanium case makes it a transformative daily driver. We particularly found the sapphire crystal and titanium bezel to be incredibly resilient, surviving weeks of travel without a single scratch.
The Venu X1’s compromises—like the lack of Multi-Band GPS or ECG—are much easier to overlook. You’re essentially getting the most sophisticated and attractive hardware Garmin has ever built for a mid-range price.
It's the perfect sports watch in disguise, ideal for users who want elite metrics like Training Readiness and Morning Report without the tactical, rugged look of a traditional outdoor watch.
