Just because something is reduced in price doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good deal – and that’s certainly true of Amazon’s Fitbit deals this Black Friday.
At the time of writing, you can currently save $70 on the Fitbit Sense 2, grab the Versa 4 with $80 off, or pick up the Charge 6 for under $100.
They’re not necessarily bad deals for the right user, but I wouldn’t wholeheartedly recommend them as much as the Fitbit Inspire 3 – priced at $69.95 and reduced from $99.95.
Why? Well, Google recently quietly announced that the Sense 2 and Versa 4 smartwatches will be the last produced under the Fitbit name.
No more Fitbit smartwatches in the pipeline makes us cautious about future software support – especially considering the brand has already spent the last couple of years nerfing these particular devices. As such, we think there are much better options for the money (like the Apple Watch SE or Huawei Watch GT 4).
Admittedly, the Fitbit Charge 6 deal is a little more enticing. Yet, it still suffers from some pretty well-documented GPS/HR sensor issues – something I experienced during a testing period with it last year (and ones we touched on in our full review from 2022). So, while it’s a good deal on paper, I’m not wholly convinced it’s worth it, either.
On the other hand, the Inspire 3 remains a superb option for users who want a basic set of features in an attractive band at a relatively low price.
The four-day battery life is welcome, it has many powerful sleep/health insights, and the Fitbit app remains among the friendliest for newbies.
Usually, that near-three-figure price tag is a little too much for our taste, but it feels like an actual bargain at this price.
And while Fitbit products are routinely discounted, I wouldn’t expect a bigger discount than this one. If you’re after a gift or a solid basic tracker for yourself, I’d act now.
