Every year I have to fend off messages saying ‘why doesn’t Wareable do a best wearable tech Black Friday deals live blog?’ and ‘How can I find incredible Black Friday deals on Garmin/Whoop/Oura/Samsung.’ And I ignore them.
But, dear Wareable readers, your calls have been heard. We are running a live deals blog all the way through Black Friday. And we’re going to update you with the best Black Friday smartwatch, running watch, sports watch, and smart ring deals.
But we’re going to do it properly, so we’re going to have some ground rules:
- Any deal that goes in here is going to get checked by a Wareable editor. It has to represent the cheapest deal of the year or have a special reason why we’ve picked it.
- Please stop emailing me begging for a live blog, this is it.

The live widget will be a feed of the latest devices, and any deals that are REALLY great I’m going to break out separately.
When is Black Friday 2024?
Black Friday 2024 is on November 29th, but the deals are already starting to roll out!
Early Bird Deals:
- Amazon: Amazon will kick off its Black Friday event on November 21st, offering discounts on a wide range of products. This early access gives you a chance to snag some great deals before the main event.
- Other Retailers: Many other retailers are also starting their Black Friday sales early, so keep an eye out for deals from your favorite stores.
Black Friday Weekend:
- Friday, November 29th: This is the main day of Black Friday, with retailers offering deep discounts on a variety of products. Expect to see deals on electronics, clothing, toys, and more.
- Saturday, November 30th: Many retailers will continue their Black Friday sales on Saturday, offering additional deals and discounts.
- Cyber Monday, December 2nd: Cyber Monday is a great day to shop for tech deals, with many retailers offering exclusive discounts on laptops, tablets, and other gadgets.
What happened at Black Friday 2023?
It’s all been a bit silly so far, but listen up. You might learn something.
Black Friday Garmin deals
Garmin offered notable discounts on various models for Black Friday 2023, especially on current-generation watches.
Deals included Vivoactive 5 and significant price cuts on the Fenix 7, Venu 2 Plus, and Instinct 2 Solar Tactical.
We’d be expecting big deals on those same products this year, but don’t rule out something to entice those shopping for a new Fenix 8. They did price cuts on current-gen watches last year, so it figures they will do it again. If you don’t see a deal that really blows you away, we’d advise waiting right up until Black Friday itself. We will be looking at Garmin deals here.
Black Friday Fitbit deals
Fitbit offered massive delas across its range, and given that the lineup hasn’t changed at all, we’r expecting some silly discounts on Charge 6, Inspire 43 and others. Ignore Versa 4 and Sesne 2, though. Google has given up on them.
The original Pixel Watch got decent deals to $199 last year. It was a pretty bad smartwatch, but the Pixel Watch 2 was much improved and a similar price cut could get exciting.
Black Friday Whoop deals
Last year Whoop offered 17% off 12-month memberships and 13% off 24-month memberships, valid from November 20-28.
Black Friday Oura deals
In 2023 Oura offers deals on on various ring finishes, with $100 off Rose Gold and up to $70 off other models.
Apple
Apple discounted AirPods Pro 2 and Apple Watch last year, and you could bag a Series 9 for around $360, about $50 off. Not too shabby.
Samsung
Last year the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 43mm went down to $349 in the US. We expect better this year.
Products to watch
Products we think will do well at Black Friday 2024 include the Google Pixel Watch 2, Oura Ring Gen 3 which has been replaced by the Ring 4.
In Garmin, we’re going to have an eye open for big Fenix 7 and Epix Gen 2 deals — now the Fenix 8 is out. There’s a massive chance to make some savings.
We’d also expect to see older watches such as Forerunner 265, 965 and 165 also get tasty discounts.
Ignore most of Fitbit, its Sense 2 and Versa 4 watches are on the way out.
But watch out for Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 discounts, which I think could be one of the picks of 2024.
