Wareable is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced tech journalist to join its new team as its US-based News Editor.

You'll be covering everything that's exciting in the world of wearable and connected-self technology, and you'll be knee-deep in the latest must have devices, testing them out for our knowledgeable audience.

Predominantly working across news and reviews for Wareable, you'll also be on hand to work on detailed features, interviewing the major (and minor) characters shaping the new connected-self future.

This isn't a regular 9-5 gig, you'll have plenty of freedom to explore areas you feel passionately about, pen the features you want to write, and you won't be tied down to your desk. There will be loads of opportunities to get out and about; meeting the companies and seeing the products that are shaping the latest revolution in technology.

The ideal candidate will have a couple of years, at least, experience working within the tech industry in the US, will bring a strong Stateside contacts book to the party and will be prepared to live and breathe all things Wareable. Because of product launches and brand events, the candidate needs to be located in (or near) either New York or San Francisco.

We're a new site with big ambitions. We're really pleased with our early growth and our standing in the industry but we're looking to push things further – this is your chance to really make a name for yourself in the industry for a site that's fast becoming the voice of authority for wearable tech.

We have a swanky office in London that you'd we welcome to use when this side of the pond but, predominantly, you'll be remote working, logging on from wherever you work best; whether that be your home office, your local coffee shop, or a hipster-tastic hot-desk. You'd also be required to travel to trade shows and events across the country, being there in person as the latest wearable kit is unleashed.

The hours are flexible; if you've been working in tech, you know how things work.

We're offering a generous salary (based on experience) and you'll get plenty of paid holiday.

Drop us a line at editors@wareable.com if you're interested.
