Huawei has revealed a luxury version of its Watch Ultimate in China—and it costs over $3,000.
The new Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Master Gold features sapphire crystal glass, 24K gold plating, and a titanium alloy strap with intricate gold accents, along with an overhauled design.
It’s released pictures of the design, which looks fantastic. The goals accents, pushers and crown do look great — and it certainly ticks the box for luxury.
As usual, when it comes to luxury versions of consumer smartwatches, the tech specs of the Watch Ultimate Design Master Gold are the same as the standard $749 stock version. It comes with a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, ECG monitoring, temperature sensors, UWB technology for car unlocking, and satellite messaging.
We enjoyed our time with the Huawei Watch Ultimate, but did find some issues with GPS tracking that the company fixed via a software update.
The smartwatch runs HarmonyOS, supports diving up to 100 meters, and boasts a 14-day battery life. You also get mapping features via Huawei’s services and full golf tracking, including course maps.
Priced at CNY 23,999 (~$3,315), it is currently exclusive to China. Huawei has released luxury versions of the Watch Ultimate before, including the Watch Ultimate Design with an 18K gold finish in Europe last year.
However, the Master Gold version takes the design to a new level, featuring a stunning sapphire crystal bezel and premium materials.
Limited availability in other regions, including Europe, could follow.
