The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra has been shown off in new leaked images
As is customary when Samsung Unpacked draws near, new leaks have given us a proper look at the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra.
The leaks have come from Evan Blass, who never misses on this kind of stuff, and gives us a proper look at Samsung’s new premium smartwatch.
And it seems it’s Ultra by name and nature, as it looks reminiscent of the Apple Watch Ultra.
Part of that is the strap choice, which looks to be a close match to the Oceanic strap favored by the Apple Watch Ultra’s marketing material, which is designed for divers (but just looks lovely).
But it also features an unusual square design from Samsung, with the circular watch face built into a square case.
The screen itself looks round, which means Samsung won’t have to make any major tweaks to One UI Watch, the wearable skin that overlays Wear OS.
There are also three buttons, with two set on either side of a centrally located pusher. However, from the leaked images, it doesn’t appear that it’s a rotating crown.
There were no other details to accompany the Galaxy Watch Ultra leak.
However, it’s already been alleged that there will be an eye-searing microLED screen with 3,000 nit brightness and that the Ultra will also feature a $700 price tag.
From the design choices, it also seems that, like the Apple Watch Ultra, the Galaxy Watch Ultra will be fit for diving.
The Watch Ultra wasn’t the only leak from Blass. He also showed us an image of the Galaxy Watch 7 – which looked like a Samsung Galaxy Watch. So no surprises there.
We’ll find out all the details on 10 July for Samsung Unpacked.
