If you're looking to add new Apple Watch apps, follow these steps:

1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.

2. On the bottom panel, select either 'Search' or 'App Store'.

3. Find the app you want to download to your Apple Watch.

4. Tap on your selection, then 'Get' to begin the download.

Note: Though some Apple Watch apps are standalone, many will have an iPhone equivalent that's also downloaded to your iPhone.

Deleting Apple Watch apps - whether they're pre-installed stock Apple apps or third-party ones you don't want anymore - can be done through either the smartwatch itself or on the iPhone.

Delete apps from the Apple Watch

1. On the Apple Watch, press the Digital Crown and bring up the app screen.

2. Make sure the app layout is in grid view and not list view (read below for instructions).

3. Tap and holding on an app icon - this should make all app icons shake, indicating they're ready to be deleted.

4. Tap the 'x' icon in the top-left corner of an icon.

5. This will bring up a new screen, where you're able to select the option to 'Delete app'.

6. Once you're done deleting apps, press the Digital Crown again to reset the layout.

1. Open the Watch app on iPhone.

2. On the My Watch tab, scroll down to the 'Installed on Apple Watch' section.

3. Tap on the app you want to delete, then toggle the 'Show App on Apple Watch' switch.

Change the grid layout from the Apple Watch

1. On the Apple Watch, press the Digital Crown to bring up the app layout.

2. Tap and hold on any app you want to move.

3. Keep your finger on the screen and drag it to position in the grid.

4. Release your finger when you want the app icon to land.

Change the grid layout from the iPhone

1. Go to the Apple Watch iPhone app and the My Watch tab.

2. From here, you should see the tab 'App Layout'.

3. Tap on it, and you should be able to move apps manually around the grid.

Switch between grid view and list view

1. On the Apple Watch, press the Digital Crown to bring up the app layout.

2. Use Force Touch on the screen, pressing and holding firmly on the screen.

3. A screen will pop up allowing you to pick between 'Grid View' and 'List View'.
