If you're looking for an Apple Watch deal this Prime Day, then this Watch SE should be of interest.
We’re not hot on recommending the Apple Watch SE 2 at full price. Usually upwards of $250, there’s just not enough of a saving to live without an always-on display, the old boxy design, smaller display and lack of medical features.
But there’s loads to love about an Apple Watch SE 2 at $169 (40mm) or $199 (44mm). Those are the prices for Amazon Prime customers, saving on the prices listed below.
Compare: Apple Watch SE 2 vs Series 10
The core of the Apple Watch experience is right there. Fitness and workout tracking, swimming features, messages, payments, apps – it’s all there on the SE. And it gets watchOS 11, so you get all the newest features such as Vitals as well.
The Apple Watch SE also delivers the same battery life as the Series 10. Yes, it’s a very terrible one day. But it’s the same terrible battery life as the ones that cost $400.
And let’s face it, most Apple Watches look the same anyway. Only nerds like us at Wareable can tell the difference just by looking.
You do need to be aware that there Apple Watch SE is very old now. It was released in 2022, so it’s about to tick over to the third year. But if you really don’t care about the likes of ECG and health tech, and you’re just looking to get an Apple Watch on your wrist, then it comes with our blessing.
