Black Friday isn’t quite here officially yet, but there’s been some barnstorming deals already – and none beat this Apple Watch SE discount.

Amazon has the 40mm Apple Watch SE for $210 – a $60 saving.

That makes the excellent Apple Watch SE essentially the same price as the ageing Series 3, and only marginally more than “affordable” options such as the Amazfit GTR 2 Pro or Huawei Watch GT 3.

Of course, this deal only applies to the 40mm version, which is the more unisex and female-friendly size. While that’s a generalization, this deal will be of more interest to women and those buying for them.

The Apple Watch SE was launched back in 2020, and is the mid-priced Apple Watch in the range.

It features the older design (seen Series 4 – 6), without the screen improvements introduced on the Apple Watch Series 7. The Apple Watch SE also doesn’t include ECG or the always-on display.

However, you still get GPS, heart rate tracking, Apple Pay, workout profiles, 50 meters water resistance, and access to the huge array of Apple Watch third party apps, which makes it such a powerful smartwatch.

Until the Series 7 came out, we recommended the Apple Watch SE as our top smartwatch. Not because it was the best Apple Watch, but because we’ve always maintained that it represented all of our favorite Apple Watch features at a much more accessible price.

If you’re balking at the price of a new Series 7, this might be just the antidote.
