While there is a decent array of apps installed out of the box on your Huawei Watch GT 4, you can add even more from Huawei's AppGallery for HarmonyOS.
There is a range of additional apps available to install, including everything from a Spotify Controller to a simple calculator, so you'll be sure to find what you need.
Just don't expect many official options - the Huawei AppGallery for HarmonyOS is still very much in its infancy, and the app support pales in comparison to that offered by Apple or Google's Wear OS.
To discover what is there, follow the steps and learn how to install apps on the Huawei Watch GT 4.
1. Open Huawei Health
Start by opening the Huawei Health app on your Android/iPhone. Don't open the standard AppGallery option, as this will show you smartphone apps.
2. Select the Devices tab
From the bottom row of options, tap 'Devices', then choose the option at the top that has your Huawei Watch GT 4 pictured.
3. Find the Huawei Watch GT 4 AppGallery
Click on the 'AppGallery' option, next to the red shopping bag icon, and scroll through the available apps to choose which one you'd like to download.
The list of options listed will be all of the options compatible with Huawei's HarmonyOS and your Watch GT 4.
4. Install an app from the list
Click the orange text that reads 'Install' next to the app once you've found an app you'd like to download.
After a few moments, the app will be installed on your watch. Find it by pressing the crown on your watch and bringing up the app menu.
