Feminine styling makes the Lutetia stand out from the crowd
The selection of smartwatches for women has been pretty dire, but the Omate Lutetia watch has shunned the male wrist and given female tech fans something to smile about.
Sporting a more feminine strap, the Omate is firmly aimed at the female market, yet size could be an issue. Of course, Omate hasn’t solved the problems faced by other watch manufacturers, and at 40mm the Lutetia is still big for a lady’s watch.

Under the hood, there’s a dual-core ARM-based MediaTek processor, which the company boasts is the smallest wearable chip around.
The Omate works with either Android or iOS handsets to provide notifications, music controls and weather forecasts. It also can be controlled by voice commands, like Android Wear. It will also last five days between charges.
The watch comes in gold, silver and rose gold options with a sapphire coating protecting the touchscreen panel, which enables you to use the host of apps from the Omate app store.

“The Omate Lutetia will allow modern women to finally enjoy all the perks of a smartwatch without having to sacrifice their style. More than a smartwatch, the Omate Lutetia is a fashion statement,” said Anne Saint-Georges, marketing director at Omate.
We’re certainly glad to see more female friendly watches hitting the market, only Apple has really considered the fairer sex in the smartwatch world with its two models showing one size does not necessarily fit all.
The Omate is available to pre-order at $169 until 30 November.
