Meizu begins crowdfunding rounds for first smartwatch

Meizu Mix looks similar to Fossil watches if you're all about analogue
Meizu's first smartwatch hits the scene

We're starting to see a lot more smartwatches launching out of China lately and the Meizu Mix is the latest having been spotted on Chinese crowdsourcing site, Taobao.

Featuring an analogue face like the upcoming Fossil offerings, the Mix is available with at 42mm casing and comes with denim, leather and steel bands in black or silver stainless steel.

There's an accelerometer, gyroscope presumably to cover the activity tracking bases and Bluetooth 4.0 for pairing with your phone. The Mix is also waterproof up to 30 meters but there's no details on the IP rating just yet.

The 270mAh battery should help the watch keep chugging along given that there's no touchscreen involved.

It's unclear whether the Mix will ship outside of China if it meets the 500,000 Yuan goal (about $75,000). At the moment, it seems the watch is expected to sell some time in September or October with the denim version priced at 999 Yuan ($150), leather at 1,299 Yuan ($196) and steel for 1,499 Yuan ($226).
