LG 360 CAM: Pocket sized 360-degree camera goes live

MWC 2016: Easily take 360-degree photos and videos with the LG 360 CAM

The LG 360 CAM just dropped at MWC 2016, continuing the line-up of surprising devices, including a pair of intriguing VR goggles and a robo-ball.

There are already plenty of other 360-degree cameras out there so it's hard to tell what will set LG's gadget apart without proper testing. However the specs make the CAM sound like a hearty, solid camera.

It'll come equipped with two 13MP, 200-degree wide angle cameras, which surpasses several competitors; a 1,200mAh battery and 4GB internal memory, which can be supplemented by a microSD card.

You'll also get 2K video and 5.1 surround sound channel recording through three microphones.

Like the Ricoh Theta S, you'll be able to upload to YouTube360 and Google Street View, or view the content on LG's other new product, the LG 360 VR.

It's interesting to see that LG - along with Google, Samsung and Nokia - are joining the likes of GoPro and smaller named companies in the race to create VR tools.

It was only a matter of time before the bigger brands started joining the fray and honestly, the more the merrier as long as we get quality content.
