ViewRanger GPS - Trails & Maps
For bikers, hikers and lover of the great outdoors, this app keeps navigation and mapping simple. Once you've started your trip, you can view mapping coordinates and details on duration and elevation data. There's even a compass to help guide you on your way.
With the Sony's GPS support, you can afford leave your phone in your pocket (or at home) and focus on and let your watch point you in the right direction.

The streaming music giant now plays nice with Android Wear offering enhanced smartwatch features making it easier to control your tunes from your wrist.
You can view recently played playlists and albums and separate cards for album art and media controls. We don't have offline playlist syncing just yet, but here's hoping it's something Spotify plans to add in the future.

Ghostracer, which connects to Strava, is a run and cycling tracker that lets you run against pre-determined segments in real time.
On the Sony SmartWatch 3 the app not only displays stats such as distance, pace and time, but also brings in data from Bluetooth-enabled heart rate monitors.
It's also one of the first Android Wear apps that we've seen that makes use of the new always-on feature, meaning the app will fade to black during long sessions, thus saving your battery.

Isn't this just Shazam but in Sony-branded clothing? We won't lie, it pretty much is. However, Sony stuff plays nicely with other Sony stuff and the updated TrackID app lets you simply tap to analyse a song, with detailed data presented on a companion Sony Xperia smartphone.
You can even buy tagged tunes directly from Spotify and, if you've not got a data connection, an offline mode allows you to store song snippets to identify later.

Golf GPS & Scorecard
Hole 19's feature packed golf app can provide distance details for a growing library of courses around the world. When getting your phone out on the course is a big no-no, you can use the built-in GPS to better judge your shots and keep an eye on the score.
It won't help with those horrible shanks that go out of bounds though.
