If you're a fan of the latest smartwatches and think you'd do a good job of reviewing the newest and greatest devices, your chance has arrived.

Fossil Group is launching a new initiative to get its products into the hands of enthusiasts, in return for some honest reviews. Anyone can apply to become part of the Fossil Fashion Smartwatch Reviewing Community, and successful candidates will receive a Fossil or Skagen smartwatch to review.

For those who aren't familiar, Fossil is fast becoming a big name in the world of connected watches. One of the biggest suppliers of analogue watches from its host of fashion names, the company has been at the forefront of the smartwatch revolution. It shipped over a million smartwatches last year, from brands such as Michael Kors, Kate Spade New York, Skagen, and the parent Fossil brand as well.

Reviewers wanted: Your chance to review the latest wearable tech

The review scheme will see some of the finest Fossil and Skagen smartwatches sent out to selected reviewers. It includes Android Wear smartwatches such as the Fossil Q Explorist and Q Venture, as well as hybrid smartwatches such as Q Virginia, Skagen Hagen, Signatur and Hald watches.

It's an impressive and, importantly, well balanced line-up in terms of devices aimed towards men and women – so everyone can sign up for the chance to choose a product to try out.

While not as fully featured as Android Wear smartwatches, hybrid devices offer a more traditional design, and still work for fitness tracking and will alert you to calls and messages on your smartphone.

So what should you do if you're interested in joining Fossil's review program?

Well firstly you need to be in the UK; then you'll need to sign up to the fashion smartwatch reviews portal. There's some terms and conditions you'll need to read and sign. Once you're signed up, you'll need to fill out a questionnaire, so you can get a device that's better suited for you. From all the applications, 250 people will be selected to take part – and they'll be contacted about receiving a device.

Once it's been used for a couple of weeks, you'll then be asked to write your review of the product – be honest and objective.

If you're keen to get reviewing, just sign up for the Fossil program here.

Great initiative. It should say that it's open to anyone, but only residents of the UK will get the units to review.
