Android Wear is out, Wear OS is in. That's right, Google is rebranding its smartwatch platform and will be adding new features in the future, though the company doesn't have anything to announce at the time.

In 2017, one out of three Android Wear users was an iPhone user. In that kind of world, it just doesn't make sense to call your smartwatch platform "Android." Similarly, iPhone users will be getting a new companion app that'll let them see their Google Fit history.

The Wear OS update will be rolling out to smartwatches over the next couple weeks. For now, it's mostly just a branding update. You'll get to see the shiny new logo, for instance. Over time, Google wants to release smaller updates throughout the year rather than big, huge updates crammed with features.

But which watches is it coming to? Well, Google has published a support document detailing every smartwatch pursuing the Wear OS update. Here they are, in all their glory:

- Casio PRO TREK Smart WSD-F20
- Casio WSD-F10 Smart Outdoor Watch
- Diesel Full Guard
- Emporio Armani Connected
- Fossil Q Control
- Fossil Q Explorist
- Fossil Q Founder 2.0

I got the update yesterday to my Polar M600! Thats a good watch if you want something thats great as sport watch but also cover the basic as a smartwatch. GPS and optical HR are spot on and Polar flow give you a lot of data thats easy to analyze.
