The Apprentice does wearable tech...badly

Next episode of popular BBC show sees the teams taking on wearables

Wareable was all excited when we found out the next episode of the hit BBC reality series The Apprentice would be focusing on wearable technology.

We're reliably informed that Lord Sugar explained to the teams that their task was to design a piece of wearable technology that "combined up to date fashion with cutting edge kit", and prototypes would need to be produced and pitched to retailers.

We wondered what new devices and form factors these great minds would come up. We were excited about the levels of innovation that these acute business-folk would achieve.

However, Jony Ive can relax as the 'products' aren't exactly bench-setters. Essentially we're dealing with an Autographer-style life-logging camera built into a novelty Christmas jumper and a jacket with solar-panels on the shoulders. No, we're not sure why either.

The Apprentice airs on Wednesdays, 9pm on BBC One.
