Not to be one-upped by GoPro, DJI has announced a new drone called the Mavic that impressively manages to shoot 4K footage and stay small enough to fit in your back pocket. However, its most impressive feature might be the DJI Goggles.

The Goggles look very much like a VR headset (they're very PS VR, in fact) but instead deliver a video feed from the drone in real time, letting you control the quadcopter with a first-person view.

The visor uses DJI's OcuSync tech, displaying an 85-degree view from the Mavic in full 1080p - right from the drone.

As you can see in the promo video below, it could make for some pretty incredible drone races. Neatly, you can pair two headsets to one drone, so a friend can witness your spectacular flying skills - or the moment you pummel it into a tree.

No word on price for the headset yet, but obviously you'll need the drone to be able to do anything with it. The Mavic itself costs $749 without the remote, or $999 with a bundle that includes all the bells and whistles - but not the Goggles. We'll let you know when we get a price on the headset itself.
