A new Withings Go budget fitness tracker is apparently on the way, according to a listing that's popped up on the FCC that hints at a fresh design and new sensors.

The listing mentions the model number WAM03, which appears to follow the model number of the original Withings Go (WAM02). So it's probably a safe assumption that this is the successor.

As far was what the listing tells us about this new fitness tracker, an accompanying diagram appears to suggest that Withings could be set to move from a circular design to a new rectangular look. The name Pulse HR is also mentioned in attached reports that form part of the listing, which naturally points to the introduction of a heart rate monitor.

The original Withings Go launched in 2015, featuring an E Ink display and could be worn on the wrist or clipped onto your clothing. It offered basic fitness tracking, sleep monitoring and was definitely one of the better budget trackers we've tested in recent years.

Withings has recently relaunched as a connected health brand after Eric Carreel, one of the original co-founders of the company, bought back the business he sold to Nokia in 2016. That relaunch was marked by the arrival of the Withings Steel HR Sport, a new hybrid smartwatch that added connected GPS and VO2 Max test support.

It looks like that relaunch will continue with the revamp of another old Withings device. The Go currently isn't listed on its website, so maybe we'll see the Go 2 before the end of 2018, or maybe this is one being saved for early 2019.
