Deal: The Fitbit Inspire has its first big discount for Amazon UK's bank holiday sale

Cheapest price yet for Fitbit's newest tracker

It's a long weekend in the UK courtesy of the bank holiday, which is already plenty of reason to celebrate. But this also means Amazon's got a bank holiday sale on, and this is good news for anyone after the latest Fitbit to hit the market.

The Fitbit Inspire has had its first sizeable discount, knocking £20 off, which means you can get this great fitness tracker for just £49.99 but be quick as this deal only lasts one day.

The Inspire now sits as the entry-level option in Fitbit's stable of trackers, replacing the likes of the Flex, Zip, One and Alta. Of the four models it's replacing, only the Alta had a display, and that model wasn't water-resistant, so the Inspire is a more well-rounded budget option.

It's worth noting the Fitbit Inspire was launched alongside the Inspire HR, with the latter adding a heart rate monitor for only around £20 more. This is something we called out in our Fitbit Inspire review:

"The Fitbit Inspire is a no-frills fitness tracker wrapped up in a design that's sportier looking than the device it replaces. All of those basic features work without issue ‚Äď but is that enough? When you can get a whole lot more with the Inspire HR for just a little more cash, we're not so sure."

Now that there's a £40 difference between models, the Inspire begins to make a lot more sense for anyone that doesn't need the heart rate monitoring of the more expensive model.

The cheaper Inspire is also the only current Fitbit model that supports the clip-on accessory, which lets you wear your Fitbit away from your wrist. If you don't want the world knowing you're tracking your activity levels, the Inspire is the more discreet model.

This is by far the cheapest the Fitbit Inspire has been sold on Amazon UK with there only ever occasionally being a few pounds wiped off the regular RRP. So if you want a Fitbit bargain, be sure to snap one up today.
