The Huawei Watch is already one of the best smartwatch options for women thanks to its pin-sharp display and classic design. Now we're not sure it was entirely necessary but at CES 2016, Huawei has just unveiled two new Huawei Watch models, Elegant and Jewel, which bring serious sparkle to its Android Wear device.

Don't get us wrong, we're sure there are markets for this kind of blinged up wearable around the world. Elegant and Jewel will be available in the US from the first quarter of 2016, for $499 for the Elegant and $599 for the Jewel. That's fairly ridiculous but not actually the most expensive in the range which goes up to $799.

The Huawei Watch Elegant, the more subtle of the two, has a curved, rose gold-plated body and an embossed top ring design. The Jewel, meanwhile, has a watch face that is surrounded by 68 Swarovski Zirconia gemstones. Each new Watch also comes with exclusive watch faces to match the exteriors.

Elsewhere, this is the same smartwatch: Android Wear, 1.4-inch, 286ppi sapphire crystal AMOLED displays, 1.5 day battery life and both Android and iPhone compatibility.

Oddly, considering these are aimed at women, these two new models are slightly bigger in dimension at 44 x 44 x 11.3mm though they remain the same thickness.

That's a shame as we like what Motorola and Pebble have done with smaller, thinner, lighter smartwatches. Sticking stones onto an accessory isn't the only way to attract women's eyes. Still, we're intrigued to see how these new Watch models do when they launch in the next few months.
