Jabra Sport Pulse and Coach Special Edition earbuds on the way

Jabra Sport Coach is getting an upgrade too
Upgraded Jabra earbuds coming soon

We really liked the Jabra Sport Pulse back in 2014 and the heart rate tracking earphones are getting a major upgrade alongside the Jabra Sport Coach.

So what's new? Firstly, automatic and continuous VO2 Max level monitoring have been added through the Jabra Sport Life app. That means you'll get an extra dose of fitness tracking with the earbuds that monitor how efficiently your body uses up oxygen.

The Sport Coach Special Edition will feature automatic repetition counting through the TrackFit motion sensor in conjunction with the Jabra app. The sensor detects your movement and the app counts and logs your repetitions, then advises when to move on to the next exercise.

On launch, the app will be able to automatically count 10 exercises, like push-ups, lunges and burpees, but there will be updates increasing the number of new exercises over time.

Aside from the new features, improvements have been made to sound-quality for calls and music, with passive noise cancellation and enhanced bass.

Both devices are IP55-rated for dust and water resistance with up to five hours of battery life, and they both last for up to 10 days in standby mode.

To make sure everyone can find an even better fit, the earbuds will also now come with Comply foam tips to keep them secured, in addition to the different sized ear gels and ear wings.

The Special Editions are shipping in Q3, with the Jabra Sport Pulse priced at $160 and the Sport Coach at $120.

Never quite get the appeal of "sports" earbuds with heart rate tracker etc. I would rather get a fitness tracker and a good pair of buds instead. I love my Sennheiser IE60 and won't be getting new one anytime soon http://amzn.to/2blcxbT
