Get your pencils out, Google is giving anyone the opportunity to create a watch face for its upcoming Android Wear watch face collection.
Teaming up with Paper magazine, Google is running a social media competition looking for creative folk to come up unique watch face designs that can be downloaded to its current crop of Android Wear smartwatches.

The competition outlines that, "this is your chance to free your inner designer", and that there's, "No need to be a computer whiz: snap a picture, sketch on a napkin, play with fabric, paint on canvas… If it inspires you, we want to see it!"
A panel of judges that includes Android Wear designer Morten Just, American fashion designer Cynthia Rowley and style icon Jenné Lombardo will pick five designs to be turned into full functioning Android Wear watch faces. They will then be made available to download to compatible Wear watches.
The grand prize winner will also get a mentorship from one of the judges on the panel and bag a trip to Paris Fashion Week along with a brand new Android Wear watch.
Google released its first designer Android Wear watch face collection in December last year enlisting the likes of Ted Baker, Nicole Miller, Mango, Zoe Jordan, Harajuku Kawaii! and Asics to create a series of custom watch faces.
New watch faces aren't the only thing smartwatch fans can look forward to as Google preps the launch of Android Wear 2.0, it's biggest smartwatch OS update yet. New Wear watches will be arriving too with Polar's M600 sporty smartwatch, the Nixon The Mission and the Michael Kors Access collection all set to land in the coming months.
If you fancy flexing your creative muscles to make a designer Wear watch face, you can post your design to Instagram by 15 September using the hashtags #AndroidWear and #WearWhatYouWant.
